Shhhh...

She's asleep... In a slumber so deep.

This time of the day is my favorite; as she lays there she looks so sweet and serene. It's also the only time she or the house is quiet.

I truly cherish these moments. She's growing so quickly and I know moments as precious as these are fleeting.

She's no longer The Baby but she will always be My Baby.

As much as I don't want to let go, I know I must allow her room to grow... Eventually.

For now, I take these days in stride; a slow, one-foot-in-front-of-the-other, careful to enjoy each moment, stride.

When things are amiss in my life, I reflect on her because she is what I am grateful for; she's my life and my heart.
